# Browsing and Searching Products

Browse, filter, and inspect the products in your Product Catalog.

Once your catalog is imported, use the Product Catalog list to review what was loaded and look up individual products.

### 🧾 The Product List

Go to **Modules → Product catalog** to see all imported products, with the total count shown next to **Add filter**.

By default, the list shows:

* **Item name** — the product name from the catalog.
* **SKU** — the unique product identifier.
* **Category** — the product's category (e.g. `sports`).

Use **Manage columns** to choose which fields are displayed, and **Rows per page** to control pagination.

### 🔎 Filtering Products

Click **Add filter** to search by product attribute.

* **SKU** — find a specific product or a set of products by identifier.
* **Category** — narrow the list down to a category or sub-category.

{% hint style="info" %}
Custom attributes imported via `attr_<name>` columns aren't searchable as list filters in this version, but they are shown on the product's detail page and can be used in Product Catalog campaigns.
{% endhint %}

### 📄 Product Details

Click any row to open the product's detail page.

**Product information**

* **Name, SKU, Category, Brand**
* **Base price (reference)** — the reference price imported from your catalog. This is stored for context only; campaign point calculations always use the actual **transaction price**, not this value.
* **Unit cost** and **Unit of measure**

**Custom attributes**

Any `attr_<name>` columns from your CSV appear here as key/value pairs (for example `color`, `material`, `size`, `warranty_months`). These attributes can be used to scope Product Catalog campaigns — for example, rewarding only products where `material` is `nylon`.

{% hint style="info" %}
The catalog is read-only here — to correct or update a product, re-import your CSV with the updated row. See Importing Your Catalog.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.openloyalty.io/implementation-guide/integrations-and-data-exchange/product-catalog/browsing-and-searching-products.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
