Wallets

Wallets enable you to create an unlimited number of digital e-wallets, allowing you to add as many currencies or other asset types as necessary.
In this section, you will find all the information about Wallets and Units.

Types of wallets

In this article, you will get all the information about the types of wallets, which are shown in the main table. You will also learn to edit and add new wallets.
Please note that there must be a minimum of one wallet in the program - this is referred to as the default wallet. You can also create an unlimited number of optional wallets.

In this section, you can define the settings of the new wallet type and determine the status of its activity.

Wallet configuration

In this section, you can configure the settings of the wallets.

Expire Units method

In this part, you can set when the Units will expire.
Expire Units method:
  • After X days - Units will expire after a defined number of days
  • Is all time active - Units never expire
  • At the end of the month - Units will expire at the end of the month
  • At the end of the x-th year - Units will expire at the end of the defined year. (if you set 0 as the value, the units will expire at the end of the current year)
  • Units will expire after - Number of days after which units will expire

Locking Units

This option allows you to lock or unlock the Units. Expiration date of blocked units is calculated according to previously defined settings after units are unlocked.
If you tick the: "Units are never locked” checkbox, Units will be assigned to the pool of active Units and will immediately recalculate the Member's Tier(if wallet is set as tier calculation source) when his Transaction is registered in Open Loyalty.
Units will be locked when the button is unchecked and you enter the number of days the Units will be locked.

Limitation

You can set two types of limits here:
  • Global units limitation - it defines how many units can be added to all members for this type of wallet. You can set the limit for a time period or in total.
  • Member units limitation - it defines how many units can be added to this type of wallet for a single memeber. You can set the limit for a time period or in total.
If you set both limts, they are active at the same time - units are not added to the user if the units transfer exceeds any limit. For example, the transfer can be within the member's unit limitation, but if it exceeds the global limitation it will not be processed. Keep in mind, that these limits are only for automatic transfers (e.g. coming from campaigns), and you can still adjust the units manually if needed.

Units Transfers overview

In this article, you will get all information about Member Unit Transfers which are shown in the main table. Also, you will learn how to add, spend, expire and cancel transfers assigned to a specific Member.
The list of capabilities of the Units:

Creating Unit Transfers

As an Administrator, you have the permission to create Unit transfers for specific Members.
The most common situation when Members earn Units is in return for their transactions or select activities.
However, there is another option to add or spend Members' Units. In the Admin Panel, as an Administrator, you have the option to create Unit Transfers to a selected Member. This possibility is especially important when you have to add Units ad-hoc in special situations, e.g. delivery delay, the biggest purchase among customers in a year, etc.
Please note that your input may only have 6 digits after a comma. If your input will be longer than that, the last digit in your sequence will be rounded up or down. E.g. typed value (...) '1,1234567', printed value: '1.123457', or typed value: '1,1234564', printed value: '1.123456'.
